DirtyDirty is the first Sonic Youth album that I bought.
I think it's one of the 'easiest' Sonic albums to
get into. Songs like 100%, Sugar Cane and Youth
against Fascism seem to have a pretty conventional
song structure. On the other hand, Creme Brulee
and Shoot provide ample proof that this is not yr
ordinary grunge band. As Sonic albums go this one
is pretty loud. Lee only sings on my favourite
track Wish Fulfillment. Butch Vig of Nirvana
fame produced this record and would has also
produce Experimental Jet Set.
